AN INTERNATIONAL FOCUSING GATHERING
Have you thought about learning to Focus but don’t know where to turn? Do you have young children in your life with whom you’d like to share this compassionate way of being with yourself and with others? Perhaps you’re a teacher of children. Are you aware that your own inner child holds untold joy, wisdom and much of your history?
I have good news for you – a residential Focusing gathering will be held at a retreat centre about 20 minutes from Toronto’s Pearson airport. It starts Thursday evening at 7 p.m on September 27, 2012 and ends Tuesday at noon following the closing and goodbyes.
Mary Armstrong from Canada, former director of The Centre for Focusing in Toronto, a Focusing Oriented Psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience and the author of Confessions of a Trauma Therapist: A Memoir of Healing and Transformation. Mary will present “Finding Your Authentic Self Through Your Inner Child.”
Zack Boukydis from Europe has worked closely with Eugene Gendlin.He has taught Focusing for 37 yeas. He now lives in Budapest with his family where he offers Focusing Oriented Parent-Infant Consultations to mothers/parents and their babies. His topic is “Bringing Focusing to Work With Parents and Babies.”
Atsamout Perlstein is coming from Israel for the gathering. Atsamout was the first Focusing trainer in Israel and co-founded the Israelil Focousing Centre in 1995. As a psychologist she works with children, couples and families with complex problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma and sexual abuse.
Lucy Bowers is our host, supported by her team of Focusing trainers to assure that you learn, interact, have fun and nurture yourselves and your inner children.
